Captaincy Change

Sadly earlier this week Craig Gorst-Allman decided to step down from captaining Southwold CC and to stop playing cricket for the remainder of the season for personal reasons.

I am sure this time out will help Craig with his personal issues and he will be playing cricket again very soon.

I am pleased that Jordan Barber has decided to continue playing for the club and will take over the 1st XI captaincy for the rest of the season. Last season’s captain Steve Hines has agreed to support Jordan as vice captain. Jordan’s first match in charge is the league clash against Kesgrave this weekend.

Please join me in giving him full support as we approach the final part of the season in which we seek to retain our Section A status and have a successful outcome in the league cup last won by the club 30 years ago.
