Southwold Cricket Club is delighted to confirm that Graham Gooch has again kindly agreed to be their guest speaker at the club’s Pre-Season Dinner at Southwold Sports Pavilion on Tuesday May 5th.
We are hopeful that the highest English Test run scorer and former captain will take a Q&A session during the evening, interspersed with anecdotes from his career in professional cricket, which has lasted for more than 40 years as both a player and coach.
Tickets are £30 per head, and the dress code is Black tie. The event is open to all, with tables of 8 or 10 available for parties.
The evening is a Southwold Cricket Club fundraising event, looking to raise club funds as we embark on an ambitious season when we will play more games than ever before.
The evening will include guests from the NHS Organ Donation team, who are raising awareness of their campaign and are also sponsoring this season’s playing shirts.
Tickets are available from Trevor Clifford (07900 267239) or email email@example.com. Bar opens at 7pm, with dinner from 7:30pm.
It is expected that this event will be supported fully by members of Southwold Cricket Club as we welcome an after-dinner speaker of note and England cricketing legend to our club.
